Sarah Bennett, PGA Fellow Head Teaching Golf Professional, provides golf lessons for Men, juniors and Ladies in Essex.  She had been based at Three Rivers Golf and Country Club near Chelmsford Essex for the past 10 years and built an enviable reputation within Essex.

Sarah is based at Lexden Wood Golf Club on a part time basis complimenting her Women’s Golf Schools events covering predominantly Spain and Turkey. Sarah will be adding a number of new destinations during the 2024 season with Mixed Schools a popular addition.

A recently appointed 2022 Golf Monthly Top 50 UK Coach is an accolade which has never been achieved by an Essex based PGA Professional and one which adds to the list of achievements for 2022.

Sarah held the position of Head Coach for the U18 England East Region Squad for 7 years having sat on the East Region Committee for the similar duration. She now holds the enviable position of WPGA Chair.

Sarah was awarded  PGA Fellowship status Professional which has been a major accolade for Sarah. Her all round holistic knowledge, enthusiasm and Tournament experience is a tremendous asset and one which she tailors to suit all standard of golfer.

She is the only female Professional to have achieved County and National coaching honours in the United Kingdom and has been the only PGA Fellow Professional coaching England squads.

Sarah Bennett with Golfing Girl Sarah is the Essex Ladies and Girls Elite Coach and was a Lead Coach for the County Academy Programme in Essex  targeting  juniors between the ages of 9-16. Many of the Essex players have progressed to the Professional ranks of which Sarah is delighted.

Qualifications

Sarah has spent time with Jim Hardy, one of Americas top Teachers founder and author of the Plane Truth to further her coaching knowledge. She is one of three qualified L1 Plane Truth certified golf coaches in Essex.

Sarah is a qualified TPI Level 1 Coach and offers a fitness screening service to her clients identifying possible physical limitations within the swing.

She has also added the Junior TPI L2 accreditation to her qualifications and offers Saturday group Junior lessons based around Fundamental Movement Skills and Golf Foundation Passport scheme. These qualifications complement her PGA degree in a range of topics.

Her 22 years as a professional golfer enables her to utilise her unique experience using  mental tools and techniques to overcome a number of challenging situations on the course, in addition to her Mind Factor certification.

The support of charities is high on Sarah’s list having held a day for Canine Partners raising enough to fund a puppy to train as an assistance dog, this in addition to the huge amount of time spent coaching with “veterans” and arranging her Golf fore recovery event.

Sarah is a contributing Professional for the Essex Golfer Magazine and Pro Shop Europe with her monthly articles covering a wide range of topics from the short game through to Fitness and rules.

Sarah is an active member of the Essex Golf Partnership and offers golf lessons for beginners through a variety of funded activities. She held the position of the Essex County Golf Partnership Coach Development Co-ordinator providing opportunities to other Coaches in the County.

Sarah has been selected once again by the PGA to coach in the SwingZone at The Open Championship. Her inclusion at Royal Liverpool in 2023 is her sixth Event providing complimentary lessons to members of the public.

Her presence at the 2024 Open at Royal Troon and the AIG Womens’s Open at St Andrews once again demonstrates the confidence the PGA possess in her ability.

Essex Ladies Golf & Essex Girls Head Golf Coach

As the current Essex ladies and U14 girls Coach and former Elite Squad Coach Sarah is keen to share her knowledge gained over an 18 year playing career as a Ladies European Tour Tournament Professional. Her attention to detail is meticulous and her passion to assist her players a top priority. She coached members of the Essex girls Junior team who won the Junior County match week in addition to the Essex Seniors lifting the Regional title for the first time.
