Bennetts Birdies Festive Day

SUNDAY 11TH JANUARY 2026

The Bennetts birdies Women’s Schools Festive day will be held at  Lexden Wood Golf Club in Colchester with Sarah Bennett PGA Golf Professional.  This is an Event which has established itself since 2010 drawing the close to the Golfing Girls calendar. All levels of golfers are invited to a fabulous day with special prizes. It is a day to mark in your diary a slight change as due to a number of reasons my pre- Christmas events was unable to take place. The day will be certainly be worth the wait with a texas scramble format over 6 holes.

The purpose of this day is to bring everyone together breaking down a number of self doubt barriers,  playing and communicating to those more experienced golfers. The day acts as a springboard and is designed as a confidence booster and reunion of current and new players.

2026 New Years Golfing Girls Event

This day is expected to be full so please contact Sarah directly with non refundable payment to secure your space noting any dietary requirements.

The day is unique as it brings together Women golfers who form part of Golfing Girls, which is inclusive irrespective of golfing experience, the feedback is hugely positive and certainly one for your diary.

Due to large numbers this day entries have been allocated on a first come first served basis but please don’t be shy come along and join in the fun. I will be on hand afterwards ready for a Q&A session where you can ask me anything to do with my golfing career spanning over 35 years as a Professional. I will talk openly about my PGA Captaincy in 2022 which will be the pinnacle of my on – going career.

A day full of Fun from the moment we arrive to the time we decide to depart!

Putting to the Prosecco, chip to the Christmas pudding and many more on course competitions. The day will consist of a Texas Scramble team format so everyone can contribute.

Sarah Bennett will host a Q&A session regarding her term as PGA Captain so come armed with the questions…

A Christmas hat is compulsory!!! A splendid prize awaits for the most innovative design..
